All interest groups rely on individual participation and co-ordination and are not directly organised or run by Portstewart Baptist Church. PBC can therefore take no responsibility for an individual’s attendance at any of our Interest Groups.
Different groups, particularly sport related ones, will require certain levels of fitness or skill to participate. If you’re not sure if you have the required skill or fitness but are keen to attend, please discuss this with one of the Men’s Ministry Team before agreeing to sign up and we’ll be happy to steer you in the right direction.
As there is no single coordinator within any of our interest groups, please feel free to organise within them on an ad-hoc basis if you wish. We would ask that when doing so, particularly in one of the more fitness intensive groups, that you state for example, the length of the route you plan to run / cycle along with a rough gauge on the level of pace, so others have an idea as to the suitability of their attendance.

Running:
If you like running this group organises regular meet ups to head out around the North Coast. Different levels of ability can potentially be facilitated but a level of fitness will be required and highlighted for each outing.
Golf:
Ad-hoc games of golf at various locations throughout the North Coast. Various Skill levels welcome - more for the fellowship than the competition.
Snooker / Pool:
Regular meet ups to play snooker and Pool, generally on a weekday evening. All ages / abilities welcome.
Walking / Hiking:
We have a bi-weekly walk on a Tuesday evening at various locations throughout the North Coast. There is no fitness requirement for attendance so all men / fitness levels are welcome to come along.
There may also be ad-hoc hiking trips to the Mournes etc. organised within this group – the routes / skill level will be indicated beforehand and a level of fitness will be required.
Water Activity:
This group can be used to organise any type of ad-hoc Water Based Activities for example, Surfing, Coasteering, Supping and Kayaking etc. It will require varying levels of fitness and skill to participate and a rough gauge will be highlighted for each meet-up.
Bike & Banter:
If you’re into cycling, this is the group for you – again there will be varying types / levels of events organised within this group, but you’ll quickly be able to figure out if your fitness is suited to whatever’s on offer.
PBC Bikers:
There are a group of Bikers at PBC who regularly meet up to go for day trips and beyond on their beloved motorcycles. If you’re a keen biker, feel free to get involved.
Cinema / Films:
If you’re a fan of the Cinema / Films in general – this is the group for you. There are regular meet-ups to the cinema or other locations to watch a range of films and occasionally meet for dinner beforehand. Obviously, these will vary in content and rating – so please check IMDB or a similar review site before committing to attend to make sure it’s for you.
PBC Sport:
There are a range of sporting events organised throughout the year, ranging from Tag-Rugby to Volleyball. If you’re into that kind of thing, then this is the group for you. Participation will require a level of fitness.
